This is Bobby, a 7-year old male Pug. He was transferred from Pet 911 to Miami Veterinary Specialists after being attacked by a much larger dog. He was treated for shock, was stabilized and bite wounds to his head were clipped and cleaned. Also, performed radiographs confirmed that Bobby suffered from a right mandibular fracture.
Meet Biggie, an 11-month old West Highland Terrier. Biggie presented to Miami Veterinary Specialists during our emergency hours for inappetence, vomiting and lethargy.
Biggie was seen by Dr. Rebecca Aldoretta and Dr. Candyce Thompson, two of our veterinarians. An abdominal ultrasound and blood work were performed to rule-out the possible causes of Biggie’s symptoms.
Meet Chichi, a 5-month old mixed breed puppy. He was referred to Miami Veterinary Specialists for a surgery consultation. Chichi was suffering from lethargy, inappetence, anorexia and intermittent vomiting episodes.
Chichi was seen by Dr. Juan Sardinas, one of our Board-Certified Surgeons. Dr. Sardinas performed abdominal radiographs, which revealed a gastrointestinal foreign body obstruction.

Vita is a 13-year old Yorkie who presented to Miami Veterinary Specialists due to signs of inappetance, vomiting and lethargy.

Meet Crissy, a 7-year old Beagle. She was referred to Miami Veterinary Specialists for a surgery consultation due to left hind limb lameness. A left cranial cruciate ligament rupture was suspected by Crissy’s primary care veterinarian.
Crissy was seen by Dr. Laura D’Amico, one of our Board-Certified Surgeons. During the examination, Crissy’s owner shared that Crissy also has a history of a left inguinal hernia that she obtained three years ago.
Remember Penny? She was here last December due to a severe gastroenteritis.
